About me
Hi, I’m Kiana, a designer studying Global Business and Digital Arts (GBDA) with a Computing minor at the University of Waterloo. My strength is turning messy, complex ideas into simple but creative design solutions, often through small, thoughtful details that surprise users instead of relying on overdesigned or default patterns.
I’ve worked as both a design lead and team member across a startup, hackathons, and school clubs. My computing background also helps me design solutions that solve real problems, not just look visually appealing. I’m currently looking for Fall 2026 co-op opportunities and excited to contribute within a collaborative design team.
Outside of design, I enjoy traveling, watching movies, going to the gym, cooking with friends and trying new recipes, and visiting perfume museums.

Skills
I equally enjoy thinking through complex UX Strategy and technical UI work, having a balanced perspective. I care more about doing the right thing than following rules. And I’m interested in creating work that feels fresh and pushes creative boundaries.
